GameTimeLinux
release 0.7.7

GameTimeLinux 0.7.7

One build, two editions. BaseMan is the base system for servers; GameTimeEdition is BaseMan with the GameEdition kernel, the 3D stack and the game session on top.

GameTimeEdition 0.7.7 install media

gtlinux-0.7.7-gameedition-installmedia.img.xz with its .sha256.

The public image is being rebuilt with:

  • the gtDesktop compositor and panel, and the herd apps
  • the graphical start, falling back to the command line
  • the package repository repo.gametimelinux.org already configured

Before you install

  • Check the download: sha256sum -c gtlinux-0.7.7-gameedition-installmedia.img.xz.sha256
  • Uncompress it with xz -d, then write the .img with the Disk Imager (or dd on Linux).
  • The media logs in as root or gametime, password gametime (gametime has sudo). Change both on any machine you keep.
  • UEFI machines only; the installer wipes the disk you name.
